This is a critical moment for From the Ground UP - having met such incredible growth, particularly in the past three years. The most significant being that we have signed a two year lease for a full time office and studio space at the Historic Ford Building in SE Portland - a first for us in our ten years of existence. Having floated spaces for the last ten years this new space will be at minimum transformational. It will allow us to increase our workshops and intensives as well as other community offerings and host small events and performances of new work. Most importantly we will be able to hand over the ‘keys’ to the artists we serve - bringing an essential resource to the turbulent process of art making! All of which will have a real lasting impact on our community!

Your contribution AT ANY LEVEL is significant for us right now, helping us meet the new costs that come with having a space of our own - this includes rent, utlities. office and studio supplies and increased staff hours - EVEY donation, at any amount counts not just because these funds will directly support our new home but it lets our major donors, sponsors and grantmakers know about the groundswell of community support that is so essential to our work.
