S RECAVARREN FRANCO
S. Recavarren Franco they/them el/ella/elle S Recavarren Franco is a text driven actor & director passionate about exploring physical metaphor and heightened gestural language onstage. They identify as a movement storyteller, a lover/destroyer/reclaimer-of the classics, a disruptor of the status quo, and a generator of new work. Companies include: Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle REP, Seattle Shakespeare Company, ACT Theatre, Village Theatre, Seattle Public Theatre, Book-It Repertory Theatre, upstart crow collective, On the Boards, Umbrella Project, Burien Actors’ Theatre, Annex Theater, Washington Ensemble Theatre and Actor Shakespeare Project.
KATHLEEN CAHILL
KATHLEEN CAHILL is the recipient of three Edgerton Foundation Awards, the Jane Chambers Playwrighting Award, two Connecticut Commission on the Arts Playwrighting Awards, a Massachusetts Artists Foundation Award, a Rockefeller Grant, a National Endowment for the Arts New American Works Grant, a National New Play Network Commission, and a Drama League Award. She was a Dramatists Guild Fund Travelling Master. Her play Charm (NNPN Showcase) was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize; her play The Persian Quarter was nominated for a Steinberg Award. New work: a musical LATE, about the survivors of a school shooting, will have a staged reading at the Berklee College of Music in Boston in October. Her play Mrs. Einstein, had a staged reading at the 2024 Durango Play Festival, and at New Jersey Rep; a one act comedy, H-O-R-S-E was in the Summer Play Festival at the Road Theatre in L.A. The Robertassey, a comedy about grief, received its world premiere at the Salt Lake Acting Company in 2025. I Want You had staged readings with Theatre 33 in Portland and Salem, Oregon in July 2025. Her musical LATE will have a workshop production in Boston in March 2026.
ABERDEEN STUART
Aberdeen Stuart is an artist born and raised in Portland,Oregon. Always moving and making something new, they explore many mediums to connect with others through art. Growing up they performed in a Scandinavian folk dance group that inspired a love of culture, community, and performing. You will often find them sewing or embroidering a new project on the couch watching the same tv show over and over. You might actually see them zipping around Portland on their ebike dressed head to toe in bizarre hi vis gear, say hello! In June of 2026 they debuted Ritual, a performance exploring their real life cult-like experiences from 8-18 years old. Aberdeen continues to develop this work in partnership with From The Ground Up.
LAURA CANNON
Laura Cannon is a dancer, choreographer and educator with over 25 years of experience in site-specific dance and innovative practices beyond traditional stages. She founded ProLab Dance in 2019 to support her multidisciplinary performance visions. Cannon has been recognized and awarded for her work as a dancer, choreographer, director, filmmaker and costume designer. She received the Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship in 2023 and served as a Dance Wire PDX Ambassador in 2021-22. She is based in Portland.
