Process Notes: This piece was created through an iterative devising process. I work closely with the artist (Rachel Slater) in creating the world, the timecode, the structure and the text of the piece. In this piece. This process worked much like an additive call and response, Rachel would bring in writing, ideas, text ad or choreography and I would add, evolve or shape the the work - with the current iteration reflecting a deep collaboration between myself and Rachel Slater.

The significance of this work is how it has pulled me further into the multi - disciplinary space, exercising my skill as a director while working across mediums, including video, sound and choreography.

You Can’t Be Serious Directed & Dramaturgy Katherine Murphy Lewis

National Tour April 2024-May 2025 (Ashland Fringe-April 2024, LA Fringe-June 2024, NYC United Solo (Awarded Best Physical Performance)-Nov 2024, Ten Fifteen Theater, Astoria Or-Feb 2025, Bag & Baggage Hillsboro Or-May 2025)

Process Notes: This work was developed through a collaborative process where I worked with Creator and Performer Andrea Parson to develop the text, organize the arch and structure of the show and elevate the choreography. Through the two years of development I was going through the process of losing my father to cancer, give the subject of the show (cancer) much of my persecutive on grief and loss is represented in this work.

The significance of this work regarding my practice, given the longer nature of this process and production that unfolded over four years, I was able to refine my artistic ascetic ( minimalistic, multidisciplinary, story driven & iterative etc) as well as develop a depend approach to bringing dramaturgical development to new work.

First Times - Director & Dramaturg - New Works Festival - CoHo Productions 2026

TONIGHt Nothing Creator, Co- Writer & Lead Performer

Developed September 2018 - June 2019 Workshop in Performance - Feb 2019 @ New Expressive Works

World Premier June 2019 @ CoHo Productions

2020 Community Tour Planed - Canceled due to covid.

Process Notes: This was the first full length play that I created, co-wrote and preformed one of the leads in. I wrote the bulk of the text and my collaborator Merideth Kaye Clark created the music and minimal text for the show.

The significance of this work is that it established my individual creative process / practice that has served me in future projects. I arrived at a interitive driven process that treats each iteration and draft as a living document - knowing that the next iteration will change. Knowing that each iteration has a full life, one that will inform the next intention.
