Spring Residency

Performance

Our Performance Residency is offered every Spring. This 8-week residency, the third and final part of our three part sequence, is offered to alumni from our Advanced Artist Residency. Continuing residents will take their ‘Rough Drafts’ and create a work of new art ready to meet an audience. The session culminates in a series of new works that will be presented at our annual Mini Festival of New Art.

Led by Artistic Director, Katherine Murphy Lewis each resident will work through the process of taking their ‘Rough Draft’ in to a ‘working draft’ that is ready to meet an audience. These public showings offer crucial audience feedback and responses that bring these emerging works to life and help inform the last stages of completing a new work.

Over the years our distinctive community events and ‘workshop performances’ not only support our incredible artists in residence, but also inspire a night of gathering, celebration and a unique encounter with stories that are unflinching, bold, heartbreaking, surprising and full hard and hilarious truths; bringing forth new artistic visions and expanding our ideas about what is possible when we make risky new works of art.

Please see below for program details.
